This is the complete rubber edge kit for the Frontier Plow Model AF12D and AF12G which is either 9 foot and 108” wide or 10 foot wide or 120". If you want to replace the steel plow edge on your plow with a rubber plow edge, this is the SBS kit, which achieves this goal.

The Deere parts book provides some inconsistent information on these plow edge sizes. The actual parts listing shows the edge at 102”, but the plow is listed as being 108” wide as that matches with the Frontier Product Brochure. We make our edge product to fit the 108” plow dimension.
Our rubber plow edge is 8” tall, 1” thick and weighs 57 pounds. Our kit includes the bolts to mount the new rubber edge and our UHMW Straps to bolt the rubber to the plow. Our retail price on this part is $1,089.

The heavier and more dense the rubber, the more durable and longer lasting the rubber plow edges. Steel straps need to b e painted and will rust and bend. UHMW straps never need paint or maintenance. All of our hardware is corrosion resistant coated, the Deere hardware is standard low price hardware.

Our kit replaces the following OEM part numbers
120” Rubber Edge Kit is 5FPLAF1554 5FPLAF9405 (2) as these are the 60” rubber edge pieces, 5FPLAF9409 (2) as these are the 60” long mounting straps.
Our rubber edges are one continuous length of plow rubber, which is a very important advantage over the Deere / Frontier approach of producing this edge in sections of 48” and 60” for the 108” width and two 60” inch edge sections for the 120” Deere edge.
Having the rubber plow edge in one single length rubber edge makes the plow rubber stronger and avoids the challenge of having a “seam” in the plow edge. Making the rubber edge in piece is superior than putting two lengths together with a seam or joint in the rubber edge material.

Our UHMW mounting straps are made in sections to make the shipping, handling and installation of these plow edge straps easier than having them in one length. The plow edge which clears the pavement should be one seamless length, for best clearing results. That is precisely the rubber edge we provide when our product is purchased.
What is most important is that the actual plow edge itself is made in one length without the rubber edge being seamed as it is with the Frontier rubber plow edge.
We make our rubber edges from material which is taller in height, thicker in width and much more dense, so the rubber weighs more. This makes the rubber heavier and far more durable. The rubber is also going to wear much longer and be less susceptible to any damage from impacts, etc.
With our rubber plow edge weighing twice as much as the Frontier rubber plow edge, the durability and longevity of our plow edge makes our plow edge the best choice.
Rubber Edge UHMW Mounting Straps
Our kit also includes the UHMW Mounting Straps to secure the rubber edge to the plow. Our UHMW Mounting straps are made of (3) pieces of UHMW edge strap, 36” to 40" long, which are laser cut to provide horizontal adjustment of the rubber edge and the UHMW straps.

We also are including a full set of High Quality Corrosion Resistant coated hardware to resist rust and to make the installation of the new kit easier. It also makes the future adjustments much easier with this high quality hardware.

Our rubber Plow edge kit is shipped with the rubber edge rolled and shrink wrapped in plastic for shipping. The UHMW straps are shipped in another box which is 36” to 40” long and 4” to 6” square. This kit contains the plow edge rubber, the UHMW mounting straps, the corrosion resistant hardware and detailed installation and use instructions. Our kit weighs roughly 58 to 62 pounds packaged and ready for shipping.
