Those customers who are using our other UHMW shoes rave about them and they appreciate not damaging the surface pavement any more when they use their snowblower.

Our shoes fit on the left or right side of the blower, mounting on the outside of the blowers end panel.
Installation is very easy and can be completed in less than 10 minutes with basic hand tools.
Can be installed on the blower when the blower is on or off your machine.
Replaces steel Deere shoe part number M135188.
According to the Deere parts book, the M135188 shoes fit over 275 applications.
Make sure to consider replacing your snowblowers steel wear edge if it has a bolt on wear edge, side to side across the underside of the blower. The steel wear edge and steel blower shoes combine to cause the most pavement damage when using these blowers. See the images for an example of the blowers bolt on wear bar often used. If we don’t list a wear bar for your blower presently on our site, contact us as we have many snowblower steel wear bars under development.
An added benefit of replacing the snowblowers steel shoes and rear wear bar include;
Some customers report their blowers slide so easily on the pavement surface after replacing the steel shoes and wear bars with our UHMW products, they no longer need to use tire chains on their mowers or tractors to have the traction to push the snowblower on the pavement. This happened most often for those customers who have flat driveway surfaces.
Not needing tire chains is a great extra benefit some of our customers experience.Be aware, not all customers will be able to stop using tire chains, especially if your driveway has steep grades or slopes. We can not guarantee this extra benefit will apply in your case.
Common Questions and Answers
Q. 1. - Which Deere front snowblowers do these shoes fit?
A. 1. - Any snowblower which uses the Deere steel bolt on blower shoe part number M135188. If your current blower shoes or the material which came with your snowblower list another part number, make sure to look up your blower in the CURRENT PARTS BOOK as many original part numbers have been superseded or replaced and now use the M135188 shoes.
During my research, I found at least 7 blowers where the original part numbers were different but now the most current parts books list these shoes as the correct replacement part number. So make sure to double check if your not sure as many of these shoes part numbers have been updated.
Q. 2. - What machines commonly use the M135188 bolt on snow blower shoes?
A. 2. - Replaces the snowblower shoes on nearly all 38”, 42”, 44”, 46” Single Stage and any snowblower using the M135188 bolt on blower shoe.
Q.3.- What Deere machine models commonly used these front mounted snowblowers?
A. 3.- This includes blowers made for 100 Series tractors, and blowers used on 240, 245, 260, 265, 285, 320, 325, 335, 345, 355D, 425, 445, 455 as well as GX, LX and GT tractors and many more. This list is by no means complete.
Q. 4.- What is the most common reason why steel snowblower shoes are replaced with our UHMW shoes?
A. 4.- To stop the steel shoes from damaging the pavement surface and to protect the blower housing from surface wear damage. The UHMW bolt on shoes are very low friction, glide across the pavement without damaging the surface and they are amazingly quiet, with all of the grinding and scraping sounds of the steel blower shoes eliminated.
Q.5.- What do you mean when you say these snowblower shoes are “Double Sided” and there is no left or right side shoe?
A. 5.- These shoes are made so they can be installed, used and when the first side wears down, you simply unbolt the shoes, flip them over and reinstall the shoes and resume the blower use with a brand new wear edge. The steel shoes they replace are just thrown away when you wear out the bottom of the shoes.
Our shoes are also made so the shoes will fit on either the left or right side of the blower without any issues. This makes installing and using them easier and allows the blower owner to reverse the shoes if needed for any reason.
Q. 6.- Why are these blower shoes always mounted on the outside end panels of the snowblowers, verses inside of the blower housing end panels on some Deere model snowblowers?
A. 6.- Since our UHMW shoes are longer, taller and wider than the shoes they replace, there isn’t room inside of the blower housings to mount these shoes. You want to make sure the blowers moving parts never encounter any obstacles or restrictions. As such, we ALWAYS mount our UHMW shoes on the outside end of the blower housings.
Our UHMW blower shoes make the snowblower more stable and improves how the blower transitions from one surface type to another. The more stable the blower is, the better the snow clearing job it will do.
Also, making the blower shoes longer reduces the weight on the blowers steel wear bar across the base of the most of these blowers. This also reduces the surface friction so the pavement damage is greatly reduced when the blower is used.
Q. 7.- How long should these UHMW blower shoes last with typical use?
A. 7.- The UHMW is very tough material with a very low surface friction level. This means these shoes will last longer than the mild steel shoes they replace. The UHMW shoes being double sided should provide twice the wear length and use life of the mild steel shoes they replace. If your steel blower shoes lasted 5 years, the UHMW shoes will last double that time based upon how they are made.
Of course, if the shoes are misused or excessive down pressure is applied to the snowblowers, it will shorten the life of any material which is riding on the pavement surfaces.
Q. 8.- Since the UHMW is a plastic material, should I be concerned about breaking or damaging these shoes?
A.8.- UHMW is the strongest and most wear resistant plastic material in the world. The UHMW is very tough and also can absorb impacts and other encounters and show little to no damage. Used as designed and not abused, the UHMW is a very good product which requires no special maintenance or care.
Q. 9.- How do these UHMW shoes compare to the mild steel shoes they are replacing?
A. 9.- Our UHMW shoes are much thicker than the steel shoes they replace. The M135188 steel shoes are made from 1/8” mild steel which is shaped to make the shoes. Our UHMW shoes are made from solid UHMW material which is at least 1/2” thick and our Heavy Duty model of shoes are 3/4” thick.
The UHMW shoes are also longer and taller in height since UHMW shoes are often made to be double sided so they can be flipped over when first side of the shoe is worn. By making the UHMW shoes out of much thicker solid UHMW material which is also longer and taller than the mild steel shoes they replace, the UHMW shoes will last longer, be more durable and also protect the pavement and the snowblower from abrasive damage.
Q. 10.- Do the UHMW shoes need any special care or maintenance when installed or while on the snowblower ?
A. 10.- No, the UHMW shoes can not rust or corrode, never need to be painted as the material is a solid color throughout. Even if the UHMW shoes strike something and are knicked or scratched, the shoes require no repair of “touch up”. They won’t leave rust on the pavement, even when parked on the concrete during storage for months at a time.
Just make sure the UHMW shoes are providing clearance under the snowblower and that the hardware we provide to install the shoes remains tight and holds the shoes in place. Don’t over tighten the bolts as it just places stress on the blower end panels and can bend the steel on the blower itself.
Make sure to check the most recent Deere Parts Listing
Always make sure to check the Deere parts book for the current part number of the shoes for your blower. Many blowers have updated part numbers that have been changed to the current M135188 part number. This is how this shoe now has 275 different listed applications.
If you aren’t sure about these shoes, contact us with your blowers model and serial number. If you have another model snow blower that isn’t listed on our site, contact us as we are adding new products to our website and we also make custom products for our customers.
