UHMW wear bars to replace the mild steel wear bar on the 44 inch Deere front snowblower. The UHMW wear bar will end pavement abrasion and stop damage to asphalt and cement from the steel edge being ground into the surface.
This part replaces the Deere part number M155105 which is the mild steel wear bar used on both the 44” blower and the 44 inch front blade. We offer the UHMW wear bar in two thicknesses and two variations.
The first is the Single Side UHMW wear bar which installs in the same place and manner as the steel wear bar it replaces. We offer the single sided wear bar in ½ inch thick design and we also offer one in a ¾ inch thick design.
The second UHMW wear bar for the 44 inch blower is our Double Sided Wear Bar. This wear bar can be flipped over and another new wear surface is available on the other side of the wear bar. This wear bar has two wear surfaces, to provide more than double the wear life. When compared to the mild steel wear bar which it replaces, the double sided wear bar should last at least three times the wear duration of the mild steel wear bar it is replacing.
The UHMW wear bar eliminated the surface grinding of the steel wear bar. Other benefits of the UHMW wear bar include;
The blower slides nearly silently across the pavement when using the UHMW wear bar.
The surface abrasion of the blower is all but eliminated.
There is no rust under the blower when parked.
The UHMW cleans the pavement without any surface grinding or pavement abrasion.
The blower moves with much less effort across the pavement.
The wear bars are installed in approximately 20 minutes with standard hand tools.
Our UHMW Wear bar is made in a single length piece, without joints or seams on the blower wear bar. You do not want any wear edges or wear bars which are sold in sections with joints or seams in the edge. These seams and joints will catch on pavement cracks and edges and cause the wear bar to not clear the snow properly.
While it costs more to ship a single length wear edge in one piece, its the best part for your snowblower’s function and its also easier to use. Some wear edges are sold in sections to make the shipping costs lower, or they are using scrap materials to produce the edges. We cut all of our edges from material which permits us to make these edges in a single length, one piece wear edge.
All wear bars include corrosion resistant hardware to make installing the new wear bar trouble free.
Our wear bars ship fully machined and ready for installation, You do not have to do any cutting, drilling or other modifications. We don’t sell a project you need to drill or cut or otherwise fit to the blower, we sell a completed part which is professionally made to perfectly fit the blower without any modifications by our customers.
