KFI Plow Edges, Rubber or UHMW for plows 48" to 72" wide

We make rubber and UHMW plow edges for the KFI straight plows to replace the steel plow edge on these plows. Our rubber and UHMW plow edges are designed and made to protect the pavement against the wear and abrasion of the steel plow edge on the pavement surface.
Mounting Holes are across the top of the rubber edges for consistent installation. This provides for approximately 1.75” to 2” of rubber plow material beneath the bottom edge of the KFI plow when the rubber edge is installed on the plow.
Rubber Plow Edges or Rubber Plow Edge Kits.
Rubber Plow Edges-
These are our rubber plow edges made to fit the straight KFI plows. Make sure to select the plow width from 48” to 72” to purchase the correct rubber edge for your KFI plow.
Our rubber edges are of two different rubber thickness based upon the plow owners needs. Those plowing their own driveway will likely find our Residential Plow Rubber Edge which is 4” tall and 1/2” thick will meet their needs.
However, we also offer a Heavy Duty Rubber Edge which is 50% thicker at 3/4” of an inch thick and also 4” tall, for a longer lasting and more durable plow edge for their plow. This edge is ideal for the plow owner who has a larger or longer driveway or who is plowing several drives each snowfall.
Our Rubber Plow Edges always include new hardware to mount the edge on your plow. If you order our Rubber Plow Edges, you will need to either use the steel plow edge on your plow to clamp the rubber edge on your plow or you will need to fabricate your own rubber edge clamping strap to hold the rubber edge on the KFI plow.
Rubber Plow Edge Kits -
These are our rubber plow edges with a special UHMW mounting strap included, to serve as the edge clamping strap to install the rubber edge on your plow. Our plow edge kits also include hardware to install the UHMW mounting strap onto the plow over the rubber edge kit you purchase.
If you have the steel plow edge from your KFI plow, you can purchase our Rubber Plow Edges and save the cost of the UHMW rubber edge clamping strap. If your plow doesn’t have the steel plow edge or you don’t have any strap to help secure the rubber plow edge, then we suggest you order our Rubber Plow edge kit to make sure you have the proper mounting pieces to install and secure your plow edge on your KFI Plow.
These edges are for straight plows ONLY. These edge kits are NOT made to fit the “V” plow style plows.

UHMW Plow Edges
We make two UHMW edges for the KFI Straight Plows. These UHMW edges are either “Single Sided” with one wear edge across the bottom of the UHMW or “Double Sided”, where the plow UHMW edge is reversible and when the first side is worn down, the UHMW edge can be unbolted, flipped over and installed on the plow bottom for a second wear edge.
Single Sided Wear Edge for the KFI Plows are 1/2” thick and a total of 2.5” tall. These UHMW wear edges bolt to the bottom edge of the plow with the included hardware.
Double sided UHMW Wear Edges for the KFI plow are 1/2’” thick and 5” tall, so they have two wear sides and the UHMW wear edge can be flipped over and reinstalled when the first side wears down.

Would you like a rubber or UHMW plow edge?
If you select the rubber edge, do you have the steel plow edge strap to help clamp the rubber edge to your plow? If you do have the steel plow edge strap or you desire to make your own rubber edge clamping strap, then order our Rubber Plow Edge.
If your don’t have the steel strap and would like the complete kit to mount the new rubber edge, then select the Rubber Edge KIT.
Select the rubber edge thickness for your use. Our Residential Rubber Edge is 4” tall and 1/2” thick. Our Heavy Duty Rubber Edge is 4” tall and 3/4” thick. All of our Edges and Edge Kits ship with the mounting hardware.
If you select the UHMW edge, then decide whether you would like your UHMW plow edge to have a single wear side or a double wear side. The single side UHMW edges are 1/2” thick and 3” tall, where the double sided UHMW is 5” tall with two wear edges.
All of our edges or edge kits ship with the hardware to install on your plow. The rubber or UHMW is cut to fit your plow for easy installation.
Important Note about our KFI Plow Edges
Our rubber plow edges are one continuous length for best fit and function on your plow. This means the rubber edge is one length, without any seams or joints, the width of your plow. That is the best way to make any plow edge, whether rubber of UHMW.
Our UHMW Plow Edges are made in one length up to the 72” Plow width. By making the UHMW Plow edge in one length, it makes the edge stronger and better suited to scrape the pavement. Please note, the price of these edges includes standard ground delivery shipping and those UHMW edges which are longer than 60” in length have a higher price due to the oversize shipping.
Our Plow Edge Mounting Straps made from 3/8” UHMW for holding the rubber plow edge on the plow may be in sections for easier installation. The rubber edge is one length, but the UHMW that clamps the rubber edge might be in sections.
To help keep production costs down as well as shipping costs, we are making some mounting straps in lengths so we can use these straps for 48” to 72” plows. Bottom line, the strap holds the rubber to the plow and it will be made in the way to best control costs and make its installation easier.
Please note, the plow edge mounting straps are made solely to hold the rubber edge on your KFI plow. The Plow edge mounting straps are NOT the same as the UHMW Plow Edges, which are designed to scrape the pavement and clear snow and ice. Clamping straps hold the rubber plow material on the plow.
The UHMW Plow Edges are made to scrape snow and ice off the pavement. The UHMW plow edges are 1/2” thick and made to directly scrape snow and ice off the pavement.
Rubber or UHMW Plow Edge, which is best for your snow clearing?
If your pavement is very smooth and without potholes or surface repairs, the UHMW edge will work very well. However, if your pavement is rough, has uneven surfaces you should select the rubber plow edges.
If you are going to push snow onto th lawn or grass areas, you should select the rubber plow edge. The rubber is much gentler to grass and less likely to cause damage than will the UHMW edges.
Both edges are very quiet during use.
Installation Time and Process
New plows are easier to install plow edges on as the hardware is less likely to be rusted, etc. In most cases, the installation of either our rubber or UHMW edges or kits is a straight forward process and uses basic hand tools. Most can remove the steel plow edge and install our rubber or UHMW plow edges in under 30 minutes. Some can complete the process in as little as 15 minutes, depending upon your skill, tools and work shop set up.
How long will the rubber or UHMW Plow Edges Last?
Generally, the UHMW Plow Edge will last the longest for a couple of reasons. First, the UHMW is a very low surface friction material and when used properly, it wears very similarly to steel.
Of course how the plow is used will also determine the plow wear edge longevity. Bottom line, if the plow is used without excessive down pressure on the edge, you should see these types of wear duration on the plows.
Residential rubber Edge - 75 to 100 driveway plows of paved drives less than 300’ long.
Heavy Duty rubber Edge - 125 to 175 driveway plows of driveways less than 300’ long.
Single Side UHMW - 125 to 150 Driveway plows of drives less than 300’ long.
