Hardware Kit for 54" Plow Edge, 10 Bolts and Nuts

$30.00

Free Shipping is included via Ground Delivery to Lower 48 States

Corrosion resistant 5/16” x 1.5” carriage bolts with serrated flange nuts for correct plow edge installation. These bolts are the proper bolts for installing the rubber plow edge on a plow 54” wide or narrower.

Specially sourced for premium hardware, these bolts will fit the majority of the plows of this width. The special corrosion resistant coating on these bolts resists rust and corrosion which is very common on snow plow and snow blower hardware.

The carriage bolts are made for the square holes and slots in the OEM metal mounting straps.. Using the carriage bolts prevents the hardware from turning on the front end and makes installation easier and faster.

The serrated flange nuts are specially designed to lock into the plows steel surface and resist loosening. The flange on the nut also eliminates the need for using a washer on the hardware installation.

This kit includes 10 of the carriage bolts, 10 of the serrated flange nuts in the corrosion resistant finish. If you want the ultimate in corrosion resistant hardware, see our stainless hardware for your plow edge installation.

How long should the bolts be for your plow edge installation? Long enough to reach through the metal mounting strap which is typically 1/8” to 1/4” thick, through the rubber plow edge which is commonly 1/2” thick to 1” thick and also through the plow’s moldboard and base. Generally, the minimum length of the mounting hardware for installing a rubber edge is 1.25”. You also want to avoid the bolts being too long, as they can be long enough to scratch or otherwise damage the pavement surface being cleared.
