Front PTO Shaft LVA21040, John Deere 2025r

$400.00

Do you need the front PTO shaft for your new quick hitch snowblower for the 2025r? We have these shafts in stock most of the time for the 1025r, 2025r machines. They are either like new with low use or they might actually be new and unused. In any event, the shafts we have are in very good condition and ready to fill your needs.

Do you have a shaft for another model John Deere machine that you can’t use? We might take it on trade towards the shaft you need. Make sure to check with us. Same with the Quick hitch mounting brackets and other components, if you bought a pre-owned front blade, broom or snow blower and have parts you can’t use, ask us about possibly trading these parts in towards those you need to install your new snow implement.

We will consider PTO shafts and the main hitch brackets that support the hitch and carry the front PTO bearings if they are in very good condition. Here is how it works;

  • Determine what you need or we can help you if you aren’t sure what you need.

  • The best way to do this is to send us email pictures of the items you bought (hitch and plow, blower or broom) and make sure we can see all of the parts you have.

  • Tell us about your tractor model and ideally, serial number and what you are trying to achieve (install the new front Quick Hitch or plow, blower, etc)

  • We can review the photos, tell you precisely what you need to install on your tractor, the total cost and the trade value of the parts you may have and want to trade towards the parts you need.

  • If we agree on the terms, you will be responsible for the packing and shipping costs of the items you are trading in and sending them to us promptly. You might want to consider adding the shipping insurance to cover lost or damaged shipments, as it does happen, unfortunately. We can’t give any credit for any trade in items which are received damaged and we can’t use.

  • The cost and obligation on the proper packing , shipping selection and insuring the items is entirely on the person who is trading these items into us towards the items you need.

  • Make sure to keep your shipping receipt and any other receipts until we have safely received the packages and confirmed their condition and delivery to us.

  • If you are not sure how to properly pack and ship these items, you can use a Mailboxes, etc., the UPS Store and similar type businesses to help you. You will pay for their services but they have all of the supplies and know how to pack and handle all shipping services without any issues.

  • If you are new to shipping and packing items safely and properly, using a UPS store or Mail Boxes, etc. or a similar shipping service is highly suggested. You can spend as much buying shipping supplies to pack items plus the time and running around, etc.

  • Just be aware, the packing standard is that the item being shipped should be able to be dropped from 6’ onto a hard surface (concrete, etc) and not damage the item in the package. If you aren’t sure you can achieve this packing standard, you should consider using a shipping service to help you.

  • Understand that PTO shafts and similar items will be considered “Oversize Packages” and subject to shipping surcharges, which can double the cost of shipping the item.

  • Make sure you ask the total cost for shipping and packing any items as the costs can surprise you. Sending the 2025r PTO shaft is commonly $45 to $75 via ground delivery.

  • Please send us a picture of the shipping labels with the tracking numbers so we can follow your items.

  • When we receive your items, inspect them and find them to be just as you told us and as shown in the photos, then we will ship your order with the parts you need to install the blade, blower, broom or front quick hitch on your tractor.

  • We are always interested in the LVA21000 main mounting brackets and the LVA22590 Main hitch brackets, that mount between the frame rails as this is the only bracket we don’t make ourselves.

  • Please understand we can only offer limited value on any on the LVU22508 Front Hitch Mounting Arm Lift Plate brackets and the LVU34571 Front Hitch and Mower Mounting Brackets as we make these brackets ourselves and used brackets have to be sent through the refinishing process in most cases. But we will tell you what credit we will give you towards the purchase of new brackets to mount your new items on your tractor.

Shipping the used shafts and brackets properly packed are your responsibility for any you are trading into us.

Tips for Safely packing PTO shafts and similar over size items.

  • use Schedule 40 PVC pipe that is about 6” longer than the total shaft length.

  • Measure the diameter of the widest part of the item being shipped. You will want to keep the diameter of the PVC pipe within 1” to 2” of the actual size of the shaft diameter as the shaft needs to be packed into the tube so it doesn’t move within the tube.

  • Also get the push on ends which are also PVC and intended to seal the end of the PVC pipe.

  • Do not glue the ends on the PVC , tape them on each end using Gorilla tape.

  • Make sure to wrap the universal joints with card board or another material that will hold the joints straight on the shaft during shipment.

  • Make sure to pack the ends of the tube so the driveshaft can’t rattle or move in the tube as otherwise, the shaft will break the PVC and might damage the shaft. You want the shaft to be packed tightly inside of the shipping tube and so the shaft can’t flex or move during shipment.

  • Thoroughly tape the end caps on these shipments over the end of the cap in all directions and then around the base of the cap when pushed onto the PVC pipe.

  • Use the Gorilla tape and make sure to secure the end caps as well as wrap around the tube every 8” to 12'“ from end to end, to help protect the tube against being crushed, etc.

  • We suggest shipping via UPS, or Fed Ex. Our experience with the USPS on long oversize items is that the shipping is very slow, the oversize items often are “lost” for up to 15 days (USPS won’t consider a package lost until it has been in their system for 15 days from shipment).

  • You may want to add insurance on the replacement cost of the driveshaft in case it is lost or damaged. We ship these weekly via UPS and they do a great job and we rarely have issues. However, last December, we had 6 of these packages “missing” which were sent via USPS. Ultimately, 3 were delivered as late as 29 days after shipping and 3 never were located and claims took 14 to 17 weeks to resolve.

  • You can also take trade in items to the UPS store, etc to have them pack the items, but its very costly.

  • Typically, to ship one of these PTO shafts in the eastern half of the U.S. costs between $40 and $70 via ground delivery, as these are oversized and subject to surcharges.

  • We had a customer take a PTO shaft to the UPS store and the packing and shipping charges paid by the customer were $175…..for a 19 pound oversize, 78” long x 4” x 4” package. That did include insuring the shipment for $500 as well…Just be aware of these costs when considering using others to pack items for you.

  • Anything you ship, we strongly encourage you to use “Pirate Ship”. You can ship one package or 100 a day through them and get great pricing. We use Pirate Ship to ship our items and their system is very easy to use and offers discounts off the UPS and USPS Shipping rates of up to 70% off the retail rates. Pirate ship is very easy to use, has no membership or fixed costs. You simply pay when you use it. The entire system is very easy to use and their customer service is excellent if you need assistance.

Our prices for the items you purchase include ground delivery in the lower 48 states. International shipments or shipments to Canada, Alaska are charged to our customers at the actual cost we pay to the shippers.
