Our Plow Rubber Edge kit to change the Frontier AF10F plow from the steel edge to a special rubber edge, to reduce surface abrasion. The standard rubber plow edge is the ¾ “ x 6” rubber edge which is sold in the Frontier Kit under part number 5WP1044563. The entire front kit from Frontier sells under Deere part number 5WD1044513, which Frontier sells for $760.11.
The Frontier AF11 for the 72” plow offers their rubber only edge under part number 5FPLAF9998 for $565 and the entire kit for $767 under Deere part number 5FPLAF6486. Our kit offers a heavier rubber edge kit with the edge material,hardware and strap for less than Deere charges just for the rubber plow edge.
Our kits are made to exceed the grade of the Frontier rubber on the plows. We have produced these kits to be superior to the OEM kit components. For example, we use a rubber edge product which is much heavier and more dense than the rubber used in the Frontier kits. Here are some examples.
The rubber edge for the Frontier AF10F product is 60” long, 6” tall and 3/4” of an inch thick. Deere lists the rubber for the plow kit with a shipping weight of 7 pounds where our rubber weighs 15.2 pounds for the same length and width material. We see this very often where the Frontier rubber components are a much lighter listed shipping weight. The rubber quality is very important for the plow edge long term use the plows wear characteristics.
Our Kit includes UHMW Mounting straps which are maintenance free and very strong. Our straps are laser cut with square holes for the carriage bolt hardware to fit perfectly. We use corrosion resistant hardware to avoid rust and make the installation much easier.
