A top flap kit is a very helpful addition to every snow plow in that it helps to control the snow flow and direction when plowing snow. They improve the efficiency of the plowing operation and also reduce clean up time. etc.
We offer two top flap kits for plows. They are
6 Inch Wide Rubber - which is 1/2” thick and fairly stiff. This flap is best with wet and heavy snow.
8 Inch WIde Rubber- Which is 3/16” thick. Its ideal for light snow and deep fluffy snow.
Either Top Flap will work on most plows. The size of these top flaps is specifically for plows in the 54” to 60” plow width.
Our Top Flaps mount using a strap of UHMW which is drilled for the plow’s top flange mounting holes. Our top flap kits include the following items.
Plow Rubber, the width of the plow moldboard, in either the 6” or 8” flap width.
The UHMW mounting strap, which made from 1/2” UHMW and the strap is 1.25” to 1.5” wide, or made to match the actual plow top flap flange on each specific plow.
The UHMW Strap is machine cut to have square shank holes for holding carriage bolts shanks, for a smooth finish on top of the flaps.
The hardware is Corrosion Resistant Hardware, containing the Carriage Bolts, flat washers, Nylock or other locking nuts, including some which are flange nuts, etc.
Shipped to the client, ready to install.
