The Premium Woods 3ph plow offers the ability to Offset the blade in the center, adjusting the blade offset by 12" left or right of center on these blades.
Premium Woods 3ph rear blades have adjustable plow shoes where the standard Woods Plow's shoes are not adjustable. In fact, many of the base plows don't have any plow shoes
If the plow has blade end caps on it, its a premium, series plow.
The role of our Rubber or UHMW Plow Edges
This product allows you to remove the steel plow wear edge and replace it with a custom designed and laser cut rubber or UHMW Plow edge. The use of these edges eliminates pavement damage from the steel plow wear edge when clearing snow and other similar uses. Eliminating the steel plow edge means No more scraping the asphalt and damaging the sealer or leaving rust lines and surface abrasion damage in the cement or concrete surface.
Our edges convert your Woods 3ph blade into a snow clearing implement which is quiet, doesn't harm the surface and cleans the snow far better than the steel wear edge being replaced.
The Difference in our Products, Single Rubber Edge, Double Rubber Edge or UHMW Plow edge
All of our plow edges for these plows are double sided. This means that each plow edge is installed, used and when worn, removed, flipped over and reinstalled to use the other wear side. This provides twice the wear life for each plow edge, whether its one of our rubber plow edges or the UHMW plow edge.
Single Layer rubber Edge Plow Edge -
This is our standard 3/4” x 6” rubber edge in a single layer on the plow. This is the most common rubber edge used by residential customers and those plowing snow from a couple of residential driveways.
Double Layer Rubber Plow Edge -
This is our standard rubber edge product, but installed in two layers on the plow. This takes the 3/4” x 6” rubber edge and makes the total rubber edge installed on the plow 1.5” x 6”. This is ideal for those with heavy plow use, those clearing exceptionally long residential driveways (1/4 mile in length of more per driveway) of for those who are clearing snow commercially. This is also for the plow owner who desires the very best wear edge for their plow.
UHMW Plow Edge-
Our Ultra High Molecular Weight (UHMW) plow edge is a composite plastic product which is specifically designed to be extremely low surface friction and also have exceptional wear properties. This is a specially engineered product made for applications where the wear edge needs to have extreme durability, strong pavement scraping ability for scraping hard packed snow and ice from the surface. We describe the UHMW edge as “can scrape the pavement like a steel edge without the surface grinding, noise, pavement abrasion and damage of the steel plow edge.
The UHMW edge is well suited for residential use or commercial use. It’s a very durable product which has a wear life, when used properly, of that similar to or even longer than the mild steel it replaces.
Ideal Uses for each plow edge type
If you have areas of snow clearing where you are going to clearing snow from lawn or grass areas, you definitely want to use one of our rubber plow edge products. Used carefully, the rubber edges can clear snow off of frozen lawn areas without stripping the grass layer.
Rough pavement or pavement that has experienced extensive prior repairs or that pavement which needs to be repaired, should also go with our rubber plow edges. The rougher the pavement, the better the double layer rubber plow edge will work on the pavement. The two layers of plow rubber work together to be flexible enough to clear the rough pavement, but strong enough to clear the pavement of snow.
Brick pavers, aggregate stone layers, gravelor other pavement which has extensive seams should use a rubber plow edge for best results.
Smooth pavement can be cleared with either a rubber edge or UHMW edge.
Asphalt surfaces less than 12 monthsold should consider the rubber edges to protect against any damage to the pavement when its still “green” and soft. As the asphalt cures, you can clean it with rubber or UHMW edges.
Concrete pavement can be cleared with either the UHMW or Rubber Plow edges.
Why are all edges “Double Sided” for extended use?
The way the plow edges are produced, making a plow edge with just a single side for clearing the pavement still requires the same machine time and labor as it does to make a double sided edge. The difference is the double sided edges use about 20% to 25% more material and provide twice the wear life of a single sided plow edge.
Therefore, if the plow design permits us to use a Doubled Sided plow edge, which 90% plus of all plows do allow a double sided plow edge, we feel the double sided plow edge offers our customer the best value. It doesn’t make sense to spend $300 for a single layer plow edge when for $350, you can have a plow edge that will provide twice the wear life.

You will receive the selected plow edge, either a single layer rubber plow edge, double layer plow edge or our UHMW plow edge. We always include new corrosion resistant hardware to install the new edge as our edges are thicker than the steel edge they replace, so the bolts in the plow holding the steel edge won’t work for our plow edges. Plus, we don’t like working with bolts or hardware that is rusty or corroded and feel our clients likely feel the same way.

Include the single layer or double layer rubber plow edge material. We use a custom made and machined UHMW mounting strap to hold the rubber plow edge on the plow moldboard. The UHMW strap is machined to hold the correct hardware and make the installation easier. All new hardware is included to install the rubber edges, UHMW straps on your plow.
Our UHMW mounting straps are usually made in two sections which meet in the middle of the plow. This makes the installation of the rubber edge easier when working alone. The UHMW strap is extremely strong, can absorb some impacts and not be bent or twisted like the steel straps used by many. Plus the UHMW straps don’t ever need painting, powder coating or other finishing as the UHMW is a solid color through the material.

Our UHMW straps are usually 1.5” to 2” wide on the face of the plow, where our UHMW plow edges are 6” tall and 1” thick for clearing the pavement. Shipped via ground delivery to addresses in the lower 48 states. Our rubber plow edges are shipped rolled and shrink wrapped in plastic. The UHMW straps are included in the same box as the rubber edges when possible, otherwise they are shipped in a special shipping sleeve we use for these longer pieces. The UHMW edge is shipped in one length up to 8’ or of 96” and beyond that length, are likely to be in two pieces. The hardware kit is shrink wrapped and included in the box or shipping package with the wear edge(s).
Some orders may be produced when ordered, so please allow 15 business days when your order is placed for the production of your plow edge and shipment to you. When you place your order, we will advise you of the estimated shipping date of your edge.
