All commercial kits include Stainless Steel Hardware and powder coated steel clamping plates to hold the UHMW on the plow.
Residential use includes clearing your driveway and perhaps the driveway of a neighbor of two. You are clearing residential driveways and some street areas along your property.
When you clear snow, you are spending on average 60 minutes or less clearing snow with your Big Tool Rack plow. Heavy storms might take 75 to 90 minutes, but the typical snowfall finds you spending an hour or less clearing snow on average.
Commercial use is the longer use of your plow each time you clear snow. Its for those plow owners who have an estate or long driveway and other paved areas on your property.
You may also be clearing some small business parking lots or church or other non profit parking areas to helpful. Perhaps you are clearing snow for a neighbor or three and the private road you all share.
When you clear snow, its for 90 minutes or more each snowfall. Extended snow clearing work requires a more robust Premium Plow Edge. The Commercial Use plow edges are also for those plow owners who want the very best kit on their plow.
The rubber plow edges are best for;
clearing snow from any grass areas or pushing snow off the pavement onto the grass areas.
clearing snow across the lawn to an outbuilding or other area without a hard surface walk
for new pavement that is less than a year old and still “curing”.
for older pavement which has uneven surfaces, numerous prior repairs, etc.
for clearing moisture from the pavement to reduce the chance of black ice.
for loose stone or surface material areas
fragile surfaces such as imprinted concrete, colored concrete, etc.
brick pavers, any surface with high numbers of expansion joints, edges, etc.
The UHMW Plow edges are best for;
smooth pavement without repairs
large volumes of clearing of HOA roads or private streets, etc involving extensive plowing.
scraping hard pack or ice. If the snow is frequently driven over before you can clear it, the UHMW edge will scrape the pavement clean.
pavement which doesn’t have excessive cracks or expansion joints as the UHMW edges tend to find the joints and “bang” them with each encounter.
