Which Plow edge material would you like?
We offer you a choice in replacement plow edges for your tractors blade. offer the rubber plow edge squeegee or as a kit. We also offer a UHMW (Ultra High Molecular Weight) composite edge, that will scrape like steel but not damage the asphalt or concrete surface the way steel edges cause surface abrasion.
Since the UHMW edge cleans the pavement like a steel edge, but without the damage to the pavement from surface abrasion, we don’t offer the steel edge and encourage our customers to our pavement friendly edges. You wouldn’t wash your car with steel wool, why scrape the driveway with a sharp steel wear bar and damage the surface?

Standard rubber plow edge-
This is our 4” tall x 1/2” thick rubber edge made from proper rubber density for use as a plow edge. This is a professionally made plow rubber squeegee, with machine cut mounting holes to make the mounting easy. -
Heavy Duty rubber plow edge-
Our Heavy duty rubber edge is 50% thicker than the standard rubber plow edge. Ideal for the customer who uses their plow more often or who clears multiple driveways at each snowfall. This is also the rubber edge for the owner who wants the very best rubber plow edge.
Either plow rubber edge is shipped with (7) carriage bolts, (7) Flat washers and (7) Lock nuts for installing this edge. This is the replacement rubber squeegee and new hardware, for those who have the mounting strap to install this edge on their plow.
Please note, this is the rubber edge and bolts only. You will have to either use your plows steel plow edge as the strap to mount this rubber edge or fabricate a strap to hold the rubber squeegee on the plow. Please read footnote below about using your steel plow edge as the mounting strap.
If you don’t have a steel plow edge strap, don’t want to fabricate your own strap or you would like to purchase the entire kit so you have everything needed to switch from the steel plow edge to the rubber squeegee, then order our Complete Rubber Plow Edge Squeegee Kit.
Complete Rubber Plow Edge Squeegee Kit. (replaces NLA Deere squeegee)
The SBS, LLC Complete Rubber Plow Edge Squeegee Kit includes everything you need to switch the plow from the steel plow edge to using our rubber plow edge squeegee. Deere discontinued this kit and no longer offers it. We make this kit because there are many 46” Model plows still out working hard and clearing snow.
Please note, the Deere rubber edge when it was offered was 3” tall and roughly 3/8”- 7/16” thick. It was shorter and thinner than our standard edge. Due to the 3” height, the rubber was limited to less wear material and single side use only.

Important note about using your steel plow strap edge as the mounting edge for a rubber squeegee on your plow. The steel plow edge strap develops a very sharp bottom edge to the strap. If you mount the steel plow strap on top of the new rubber squeegee in the same position the strap is used to clear snow, the steel strap sharp edge WILL DAMAGE the rubber plow edge.
Take these steps to use the steel strap from your plow as the mounting clamp for the rubber squeegee edge on the plow.
Make sure to paint the bare metal on the wear edge so the steel doesn’t rust when on the plow.
Mount the steel strap UPSIDE DOWN on the plow, with the former sharp side facing up away from the bottom of the plow.
Make sure the bottom of the plow strap doesn’t extend below the bottom of the plow moldboard or it will negatively affect the rubber edges function.
Make sure the bottom of the steel strap when mounted is flat, not sharp from wear and not against the rubber squeegee where the plow edge flexes when the plow is used.
The safest way to get the best mounting strap for the rubber plow edge is to order our Rubber Squeegee Plow Edge Kit which includes all of the correct parts to install the rubber squeegee on your plow.
