We offer the replacement plow edges for your tractors blade. We make these edges in Steel and we also offer the rubber plow edge squeegee kit. How about a UHMW (Ultra High Molecular Weight) composite edge, that will scrape like steel but not damage the asphalt or concrete surface the way steel edges cause surface abrasion.

Steel Plow Edge (Strap)
M72122 Steel Plow Edge
Includes the following- 1- Steel Plow edge strap, replaces part numbers M40581 and current part number M72122. Ships with (7) Carriage Bolts, (7) Flat washers and (7) Lock nuts for installing this edge. Includes installation and use instructions.
Rubber Squeegee Edge ONLY, (does not include a mounting strap)
Deere has discontinued this item, but we will certainly make it for you. This is our 4” tall x 1/2” thick rubber edge made from proper rubber density for use as a plow edge. This is a professionally made plow rubber squeegee, with machine cut mounting holes to make the mounting easy.
This rubber edge is shipped with (7) carriage bolts, (7) Flat washers and (7) Lock nuts for installing this edge. This is the replacement rubber squeegee and new hardware, for those who have the mounting strap to install this edge on their plow.
Please note, this is the rubber edge and bolts only. You will have to either use your plows steel plow edge as the strap to mount this rubber edge or fabricate a strap to hold the rubber squeegee on the plow. Please read footnote below about using your steel plow edge as the mounting strap.
If you don’t have a steel plow edge strap, don’t want to fabricate your own strap or you would like to purchase the entire kit so you have everything needed to switch from the steel plow edge to the rubber squeegee, then order our Complete Rubber Plow Edge Squeegee Kit.
Complete Rubber Plow Edge Squeegee Kit. (replaces NLA Deere squeegee)
The SBS, LLC Complete Rubber Plow Edge Squeegee Kit includes everything you need to switch the plow from the steel plow edge to using our rubber plow edge squeegee. Deere discontinued this kit and no longer offers it. We make this kit because there are many 46” Model Our complete kit includes the following;
1- Custom cut rubber plow edge squeegee that is 4” tall by 1/2” thick, machine cut to fit the plow. All mounting holes are machined into the rubber edge.
1- Custom made UHMW mounting strap, to properly secure the rubber squeegee to the plow moldboard. The UHMW strap is to hold the rubber on the plow, it is NOT designed to be used as a plow edge on its own. We make a UHMW Plow edge that is sold below for those seeking a UHMW edge to clear their driveway and pavement surfaces.

UHMW Custom Made Plow Edge Kit
Deere never made a UHMW plow edge for this plow. We make this edge for those who want to scrape the pavement like they are using a steel edge, but they want the protection against surface abrasion that steel edges can cause to asphalt, concrete and any hard surface. UHMW is the answer. Our edge is machine cut to perfectly fit the plow. Our UHMW Plow Edge Kit includes the following;
(1) UHMW Plow Edge machined to fit this plow. The UHMW is 2.5” tall and 1/2” thick. All mounting slots are machined to properly hold the carriage bolts to install this edge on the plow.
(7) Carriage bolts, (7) Flat washer and (7) Lock nuts to install this plow edge. Includes installation and use instructions.

Steel Plow Edge Strap
Hard surfaces that you aren’t concerned about damaging.
Rubber Plow Squeegee Edge

Clearing grass areas, the rubber edge works great for clearing lawn, grass, and areas where you don’t want to strip the surface.
Gravel and stone drives as the rubber displaces less of the surface material than will the other plow edges.
Surfaces with numerous joints or edges, such as brick pavers, landscape stones, custom or hand laid surfaces, etc.
UHMW Plow Edge
Smooth pavement you want to scrape to remove hard pack snow and ice.

Important note about using your steel plow strap edge as the mounting edge for a rubber squeegee on your plow. The steel plow edge strap develops a very sharp bottom edge to the strap. If you mount the steel plow strap on top of the new rubber squeegee in the same position the strap is used to clear snow, the steel strap sharp edge WILL DAMAGE the rubber plow edge.
Take these steps to use the steel strap from your plow as the mounting clamp for the rubber squeegee edge on the plow.
Make sure to paint the bare metal on the wear edge so the steel doesn’t rust when on the plow.
Mount the steel strap UPSIDE DOWN on the plow, with the former sharp side facing up away from the bottom of the plow.
Make sure the bottom of the plow strap doesn’t extend below the bottom of the plow moldboard or it will negatively affect the rubber edges function.
Make sure the bottom of the steel strap when mounted is flat, not sharp from wear and not against the rubber squeegee where the plow edge flexes when the plow is used.
